The Texas A&M global center for distance education is to be a world-class intellectual community. Its purpose is to create a coalescence between cultures, knowledge, and creativity for everyone in the college station community. The center is located on the perimeter of the main campus and connects the university through a tunnel which creates a dynamic pedestrian friendly flow between two areas which rarely interact. its architectural goal is not to create walls between the different cultural and creative practices, but to break them and encourage diversity and connection at the private and public level.
