RESILIENCE = BIPOC

To be part of a resilient community of color we must use space as an embodiment of our culture in order to contribute to our survival. This project honors the notion of land, not as a plot within a capitalized urban grid, but rather as a malleable medium that can be consciously transgressed into inhabitable space. It is crucial to displace the village ground from the urban ground by -5ft,  providing us with an abundant matter (earth) that can be transformed into an adobe mixture, this is then poured into a mold which creates a 200sqft inhabitable shell. These shells are then nestled into a concrete frame . Each component of this community has a cyclical life, it comes from earth and to earth it shall return, yet in doing so it provides for its inhabitants by collecting the natural resources given to us by the land. furthermore , this village embodies virtues abundant within a resilient predominantly black community, it fosters notions of self-reliance, self-reliance, and individuality which when connected creates a micro resilient community.
